Robertson Electric Helps Homeless

March 3, 2014
The Good Shepherd Ministries is a place to get a hot meal, clean clothes and safe, clean bed for the night. And since 1998, the Campbell family, owners of Robertson Electric Wholesale headquartered in Vaughan Ontario, have been a proud supporter of this worthy cause.

The Good Shepherd, as it is affectionately called, is where to go when you need someone to listen, someone to help.  Good Shepherd Ministries is a place that promotes human dignity and is a place where people come first and a place where the 'last' - the homeless, the marginalized - come first of all.

Each year the Good Shepherd Ministries organizes two major events – The Good Shepherd Gala and the Good Shepherd Golf Tournament – both of which Robertson Electric Wholesale support and bestow donations.

Adrienne Urquhart, Director of Fundraising and Public Relations at the Good Shepherd Ministries, shared that “the support that we have received from the Campbell family over the last 16 years has made a significant impact in helping us help others.  Without people like the Campbell’s and Robertson Electric Wholesale we would not be able to make a difference in the lives of individuals who struggle with homelessness and poverty."

Robertson Electric Wholesale was founded in 1952, and has provided service to the Canadian marketplace for over 60 years. In October 2008, the company was purchased by the Campbell family.  Since the acquisition, Robertson Electric Wholesale has grown significantly, adding five new branch locations across Ontario in Hamilton, Scarborough, Barrie, Kitchener and in London.

Robertson Electric Wholesale joined Affiliated Distributors in 2013 as a result of the AD Canada / IED merger. We are honoured to stand with this Market Leader and salute their commitment to Giving Back to those in need.
