VP Supply Hosts Sandy Supply Drive
In response to the devastating effects of Superstorm Sandy, VP Supply Corp is teaming up with the New York based Friends of Firefighters, Inc. to collect a tractor trailer load of supplies to send down to the ravaged New York City area. This supply drive is spanning across all 12 of its locations in New York State and into Pennsylvania, and will be taking place up until Thanksgiving.
VP Supply Corp is a Rochester, New York based company that provides Wholesale Plumbing, HVAC, Kitchen, and Renewable Energy products to both contractors and a retail audience. Since 1965, VP Supply has consistently offered quality products with top of the line customer service to its customers.
Friends of Firefighters, Inc. (FOF) is a community-based organization that operates independently of the city, state, and federal government. FOF is dedicated to addressing the physical, mental health, and wellness needs of New York City’s firefighters and their family members, including children and adolescents. Mental health services are free and include: individual, group, couples, family as well as confidential peer counseling by trained active or retired firefighters.
At least 121 people have perished in the devastation of hurricane sandy, which caused an estimated $50 billion in property damage and economic losses and ranks as one of the most destructive natural disasters to hit the U.S. Northeast.
All VP branch locations will be collecting cleaning supplies, toiletries, school supplies, bottled water, non-perishable food items, toys, heavy duty garbage bags, blankets, jackets and gloves.
